QAU

In accordance with article 14, Law 4009/2011, each Higher Education Institute bears the responsibility of quality assurance and on-going improvement of its educational and research work and the effective operation and performance of its services, according to the international practices, especially those of the European Higher Education Area and the principles and directions of the Hellenic Quality Assurance and Accreditation Agency (HQA).



In accordance with article 14, par. 2, Law 4009/2011 the QAU of the Athens School of Fine Arts has the following duties:
a) development of a specific policy, strategy and necessary procedures for the on-going improvement of the quality of the work and services of the School, which is an internal quality assurance system of the School;
b) organisation, operation and on-going improvement of the School’s internal quality assurance system;
c) coordination and support of the evaluation procedures of the School’s academic units and the other services; and
d) support of the external evaluation and accreditation of the curriculum and the internal quality assurance system of the School, in the context of the principles, directions and instructions of the HQA.

The Internal Quality Assurance System of the Athens School of Fine Arts (see following link: http://modip.asfa.gr/ ) and its application procedures are decided by the Senate which, following the Dean’s proposal, issue a decision that is published in the Government and Gazette and the School’s website. The above are revised the latest every six years.

For the above purposes, the QAU cooperates with the HQA, develops a data management information system for the evaluation and is responsible for the systematic monitoring and posting of the evaluation of the procedures and its results on the School’s website.
