DESCRIPTION
The aim of the Engraving Workshop A is to teach students the expression values of Engraving in theory and in practice. Drawing-composition is the key study with exercises-studies based on compositions of objects in the workshop and thematic compositions. Teaching continues using this material -drawings- with exercises in Engraving materials.
Students are taught classical and contemporary methods to be able to discover visual expression forms, develop their ingenuity and perfect their skills. The aim of the workshop is for students to develop their experiences through their training so that they are guided - discover their personal course.
Teaching consists of two parts.
- Engraving History and Aesthetics
- Engraving methods and techniques
The following are taught in all years - semesters:
Drawing - colour from life (naked - dressed model, still life), thematic compositions, introduction to preparation drawing for the engraving
